AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL RECEIVES FAIM RECERTIFICATION

Pittsburgh, Pa., March 20, 2002 - American International has successfully received its FAIM recertification. FAIM (FIDI Accredited International Mover) is an industry-specific quality assurance standard for international moving that is recognized worldwide. FAIM examines every aspect of an international moving company's activities in detail, including more than 500 operational points.

Achieving FAIM certification is achieved only after a detailed company audit is undertaken by Ernst and Young, acting on behalf of FIDI, an international moving organization, representing more than 700 companies around the world. This audit is repeated every two years. American International first became FAIM certified in 2000.

Each year, FAIM institutes new, strict standards that companies must follow to receive or maintain their certification. New requirements this year include additional documentation, increased security and safety procedures and tightened restrictions on customer response times, including surveys and packing. American International met all of these requirements to become recertified.
