Chicago Travel During G8/NATO Summit February 2, 2012— IPR Consulting notes that from May 19th-21st, moving around Chicago will be nearly impossible as the city hosts the G8/NATO Summit. All the assembled world leaders will be given Secret Service Protection, and with that comes motorcade after motorcade and many closed streets. When President Obama arrives, things will get even tighter. Available hotel rooms in both the city as well as the surrounding suburbs will be non-existent. While the Summit begins on the 19th, it is advised that no one travel into the city beginning May 16th. |
