Chinese Visa Updated Regulations

 

Effective immediately, the Chinese visa office in Hong Kong will not process or issue “Z” type working visas, “X” type student visas or “F” type business multiple entry visas; they will only process “L” type tourist visas (single or double entry) and “F” type business visas (single or double entry). 

Working visas will only be issued via the Chinese embassy/consulate of an applicant’s home country with the exception of applicants with green card/permanent residency of second country.  In this case the applicant can apply from their country of residence.
